This website does not set cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and embeds no third-party content. The fonts are loaded from our own server, so no data is sent to Google or any other provider for them. We process personal information only in the two cases described below.
When you open the website, our hosting provider's server automatically processes technical data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser and operating system. This is technically necessary to deliver the pages, keep the website secure and prevent abuse.
Our legitimate interest in running a secure and stable website is the basis for this processing (POPIA section 11(1)(f); Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for visitors from the EU). The log files are kept only for a short time and are not combined with other data.
When you write to us through the form on the Contact page, we process the details you enter:
The form sends your details to us as an email. We use them only to answer your enquiry and plan your trip. The basis is your consent (POPIA section 11(1)(a); Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and taking steps at your request before a contract is concluded (POPIA section 11(1)(b); Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The same applies if you contact us by email or phone.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by emailing the address above.
We do not sell your information. Service providers who work for us technically (for example hosting and email) process data only on our behalf. If a booking is made, we pass on the details needed for the trip to the suppliers involved, such as accommodation, national parks or transport companies, as far as this is necessary to carry out the trip.
We are based in South Africa, so your enquiry is handled there under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). If you contact us from the EU: the European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision for South Africa. Your data is transferred on the basis of your consent and to take steps at your request before a contract is concluded (Art. 49(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
We keep your information only as long as needed for its purpose, that is, while your enquiry or trip is being handled. After that we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it, for example for tax purposes.
You may ask us for access to the information we hold about you, and for it to be corrected, deleted or restricted. You may object to its processing and, for visitors from the EU, request data portability (POPIA sections 23 to 25 and 11(3); Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, email info@southafrica-exclusivetours.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: the Information Regulator in South Africa (inforegulator.org.za) or, if you live in the EU, the authority in your country.
