Pick-up at Windhoek airport by your tour guide. Drive to the guesthouse on the “Klein Barmen” farm. Dinner/barbecue.
Early in the morning at about 7.00 am we go on a game drive across the eight-thousand-hectare farm. At sunrise there is a picnic along the way with hot coffee and tea. We spot springbok, zebras, giraffes and much more.
Back at the guesthouse a hearty breakfast/brunch is served. Hours to relax by the pool or to bathe in the “hot springs”, the natural hot springs.
Towards evening we go on another game drive. Along the way we enjoy the sunset in the middle of the wilderness with a glass of wine. In the evening the farm’s own game meat is grilled. The peace and the nature on this farm will delight you.

Today we set off for Etosha. Etosha National Park is probably the best-known national park in northern Namibia and the country’s most important reserve.
The park lies on the north-western edge of the Kalahari Basin and covers almost the whole Etosha Pan. The name “Etosha” comes from Oshivambo and means something like “great white place”.
For a stay in Etosha you should allow at least 2 full days. Here we stay the first two nights at Alexander Gate, the western entrance to Etosha National Park.

This huge wildlife reserve is the perfect starting point for forays into the African landscape. A magnificent and varied wildlife awaits you.
We will experience the “Big Five” such as elephants, black rhinos, hyenas, hippos, antelope, lions, cheetahs as well as crocodiles, zebras, vultures, giraffes and other wildlife.

After breakfast we say goodbye to the wild animals and begin our drive towards Swakopmund. About halfway we reach the Waterberg Plateau.
The Waterberg is a striking table mountain in Namibia. Today a national park has been set up on and around the Waterberg plateau, where, among other things, guided hikes can be taken.
We reach our accommodation – gigantic views, wonderful expanse.

Today we head to Swakopmund. The town lies in the Namib Desert, right on the Atlantic near the mouth of the Swakop River.
There we will stay in a guesthouse on the Atlantic and stroll through the town, experiencing the extremely strong German influence of the colonial era – very interesting, almost everyone here speaks German.
On request we visit a Namibian-German museum or drive along the interesting coast. In the evening we can have dinner, for example, at the “Hofbräu-Haus”.

Our journey now takes us to the dunes of Sossusvlei. Our drive leads through the ancient Namib Desert to the edge of Sossusvlei. Tour through this unique, dreamlike landscape.
Sossusvlei is a beige salt-and-clay pan (“vlei”) surrounded by Namib sand dunes in the Namib Desert. The surrounding orange dunes, at over 380 metres high, are among the highest in the world. The dunes formed about 5 million years ago.
After this unique experience we continue to our accommodation.

Very early in the morning we set off through Sossusvlei to the highest dunes in the world, which glow from pale yellow to fiery red depending on the position of the sun.
Afterwards we head for our accommodation. At this lodge injured or orphaned cheetahs and other wild cats are taken in, and some live partly tame on this farm.
There is a cheetah breeding farm where you experience incredibly close contact with the animals – very fascinating!

Drive over the beautiful Naukluft Mountains and Helmeringhausen. The Naukluft Mountains lie on the eastern edge of the Namib.
This spectacular mountain landscape forms deep gorges crossed by year-round streams that form crystal-clear pools. Our accommodation is not far from the small settlement of Aus. Aus has only about 30 inhabitants.

On our way, very early in the morning, we watch the wild horses right on the plains. We drive to Lüderitz.
Nearby we visit the sand-buried diamond-hunters’ town of Kolmanskop. Then we continue via Aus to our next accommodation before arriving at the Fish River Canyon.

The Fish River Canyon is, after the Grand Canyon, the second-largest canyon in the world. It is one of the impressive natural wonders of Africa.
At over 650 kilometres in length, the Fish River is the longest river in Namibia. Our accommodation is the only one right on the edge of the canyon.
On request we can hike a little way through the canyon at sunset.
Overnight stay + half board in a lodge right at the canyon
We enjoy today at the Fish River Canyon. The canyon offers incomparable pictures very early in the morning at sunrise. You should have your camera ready even before breakfast.
We may take a 4x4 drive or a hike through this breathtaking canyon.

Today we leave the Fish River Canyon and, after breakfast, set off for South Africa. We drive through Namaqualand.
One of the main attractions here is the desert bloom that takes place every year at the end of August/beginning of September. Given suitable temperatures and rain, within a few days the seemingly lifeless desert floor unfolds into a blossoming of millions of flowers that covers large parts of Namaqualand – above all around the town of Springbok.

We continue through Namaqualand to our next accommodation. This nature-oriented guest farm lies far from all hustle and bustle.
We enjoy our evening under the starry sky over dinner.

Today our route leads from Papkuilsfontein to the West Coast. We pass the rooibos tea plantations all the way to the water’s edge.
We stay in the idyllic “fishing village” of Paternoster and let the day end on its beautiful beach. In the evening it is best to eat the fresh fish specialities in one of the excellent restaurants here.
Overnight stay in a 5* boutique hotel
We say goodbye to Paternoster and first drive to West Coast National Park. The park is known above all for its wealth of bird species.
With a little luck we will also spot antelope, kudu, zebras, springbok and wildebeest in the fynbos. Then we continue along the West Coast to Cape Town.
At Bloubergstrand we enjoy the great postcard view of Table Mountain once more before taking you to your accommodation in Cape Town.
Overnight stay in a 4* accommodation in central Cape Town
From day 18 you have time to experience the unique city of Cape Town. We would be glad to extend your Namibia trip with day tours in and around Cape Town, for example with a multi-day tour along the Garden Route.
On the day of your departure you are taken to the airport by shuttle. The journey home follows.
